What does our office stand for
Our office is a partnership of Tabitha van den Berg and Eline van Tijn, joined by Roderic van Voorst tot Voorst. Each of us works independently from our joint mediator and trainer practice. Our main focus lies with business conflicts and different forms of issues occurring in cooperation; between employer and employee, within teams, between corporate departments or between shareholders or partners. Mediation Amsterdam was originally founded by Barbara Hoogenboom in 2004.
Ambassadors of Mediation
Especially as entrepreneurs, we foster a firm belief in social engagement and we gladly contribute to society to the best of our abilities.
Therefore, you will regularly come across co-mediators in our office, professionals who have completed their mediation studies and extend their practical experience with us. A win/win situation, as we also value their feedback on our performance, whilst the client benefits from an additional pair of eyes and ears at no additional cost.
At the invitation of a vocational college, we also work with students, analyzing their workplace experiences as trainees or employees together with them, to explore which possible improvements might be possible. By assigning them the role of mediator, employer or employee, we can help raise their awareness for the diverse nature of conflict origins.
We are involved as voluntary neighbourhood mediators in Amsterdam, Weesp and Almere.
Last but not least, we operate in a number of management boards, such as the Nederlandse Mediatorsvereniging (NMv) and the Labour Mediation Group of the Mediatorsfederatie Nederland (MfN).
As ambassadors promoting mediation in The Netherlands, we build bridges between different professional fields and spread knowledge on the applicability of mediation. We will happily make ourselves available for presentations or workshops on mediation.
We are MfN-accredited mediators. The Mediationfederatie Nederland (MfN) stands for quality and diligence. As legal mediators, we take a pragmatic and empathetic approach to our work. We always try to find the balance between the emotional impact of the conflict and the practical, rational business aspect of the issue. it is our mission to establish open and respectful dialogue. Together with you, we will search for the optimal and most sustainable solution to the conflict.
